Last Year

Longtime poster/Cafe addict here. I was wondering if anyone privy to the inner workings of this place might shed some light on what happened with the Football Cafe last year. One week--I wanna say week 9 or so--the site just stopped working and went offline. After a month or so, a "new and improved" Cafe popped up, but the board software was super clunky and borderline unusable. The site reverted back to the old familiar look sometime over the offseason, and now here we are on a (truly) new and improved site.

Change in site ownership? Hacked? Just curious. Thanks for the great work. Love the new board and am happy to have the Cafe back.

In short - change in ownership. There were many issues with the previous site and a 'new' solution was looked into and finally what you see now is the final result. Glad to have you back Delhomme and hope the Cafe returns to its former glory

DreamFFCafe is right on the money. The Cafe changed ownership and the site experienced a bunch of technical issues last season - very slow, crashed and went down a lot. We did an emergency server change but that really didn't help the situation and the interface was, like you say, clunky. A more thorough plan was put in place during this past offseason and we moved to a new platform and decided to wipe the slate clean so that we didn't inherit a lot of the issues that existed (spambot users, old old posts, etc.). What you see now is here to stay - the new Fantasy Football Cafe - there's no looking back! I personally love it and am excited about the Cafe's future!

Thanks for the clarity, guys. The new site takes a bit of getting used to, but it's definitely a solid platform. Very excited about this place's future. Other sites like the Reddit FF sub have their place, but I've always gotten more sound, well thought-out advice here than anywhere else.

Thanks for the heads up as well, was definitely wondering for awhile. Actually kind of forgot about this place until the last few weeks. Glad its back and hope the FF gods are good to everyone this year.
