Calvin first overall?

Keeper league. I can keep stafford with my 5thrnd pick. 12 teams ppr. I have first pick. I cld take Calvin 1 and keep stafford and have the combo. Is it worth it. I value wr over rbs but the first pick?

    no. not if any of the top 5 RB's are available. I think the gap between Calvin and the #2 WR is closer than it has been in years. He's no longer miles away the #1

    No reason to keep Stafford, even at pick 5.

    I wouldn't keep him if I could get Charles, McCoy, AP or Forte.

    Absolutely do not draft Calvin #1 overall. The best way to learn this is to go do some mock drafts somewhere and a lot of them. Try every combo possible, RB/RB to start, WR/WR, take one of the big three QBs in one draft, take Graham in another. Not one overall I'm just talking first round generalities. What I have found almost every time is that I hate my team when I take one of the big three QBs. I didn't think I would and thought all offseason that I wanted Rodgers bad this year. It just doesn't work. I also don't like taking Graham as much as I would love to take him. However, taking a QB was worse. None of this means anything for your question I know. I'm getting there.

    Every time I got an early pick and took one of the big four RBs I loved my team. The draft falls so nicely. You will get two stud WRs with your 2nd and 3rd and come back with your RB2 in the fourth. I doubt Ellington makes it to the end of the 4th or Vereen (this is a PPR right?) but J Bell should be there or maybe even Gerhart falls far enough for you to swoop. It's a guaranteed formula for a rock solid team. I'd love to have Calvin and would take him 5th but don't over think the top spots. RB all the way.
